While we can guarantee delivery departures, we unfortunately cannot guarantee exact time of delivery, nor can we take bookings for any exact time. There are simply too many variables involved once departed to deliver on exact, to-the-minute schedules.

For urgent deliveries, special deliveries, or deliveries to rural areas, call us to iron out the details: (02) 6257-3633.

Please, keep in mind that our goal is to deliver exactly what you order, and that includes the type of flowers you want, any personlised message, and other details. So it is important that you be specific and elaborate on everything you want. If you want anything special, then take advantage of the special instructions and let us know. We’re more than happy to personalise your order.

It also helps to leave your contact information, such as your phone number. There are unfortunately many potential bumps along the road, and something might get lost in translation, a certain type of flower may not be available, or the recipient of the gift may not be there when we arrive. These types of unforeseen circumstances aren’t commonplace, but we won’t risk leaving your flowers lying around anywhere. We will bring them back to the shop and leave our calling card, so it helps if we can contact you directly to sort out the details.

Re-delivery charges are $15.00, and the same delivery principles apply.

How Canberra Cityflowers Handles Delivery Locations

Government Buildings

Because of the security involved with most government buildings, the security and/or reception at these locations usually refuse to accept deliveries. Although these instances are rare, they do happen; and when they do, we will immediately attempt to contact the recipient. This is where having your information pays off. If we cannot get in touch with the recipient, we will promptly return the flowers to our shop where they will await re-delivery. We will then make every attempt to get in touch with the recipient to schedule a new delivery time and location. The subsequent re-delivery charge will be $15.00.

Rural Deliveries

Rural areas are unfortunately outside of Canberra Cityflowers immediate vicinity. We are a Canberra business, and we cater directly to Canberra, its surrounding suburbs, and the Queanbeyan area. If a recipient is located outside of these areas, an additional delivery fee of $12 to $18 will apply, in order to cover the delivery charge.

Our delivery schedule also varies depending on the rural location. We only ship out our rural packages in the afternoon, subject to availability, thus you should call the shop directly to iron out these details: What’s available, the estimated travel time, estimated delivery date, etc.

Secured Apartment Complexes

Canberra Cityflowers will not risk someone else picking up your flowers, so if you live in an apartment complex with an intercom system, or a gated complex where we will have to leave the flowers with someone other than the intended recipient, we will not risk this. In these cases, will we attempt to contact the recipient directly to pick up the flowers, or to let us into the area. If these attempts fail, we will return the flowers to our shop and then schedule a re-delivery, where a $15 fee will be charged.

Additional Policies and Offers

Our Substitution Policy

Flowers are seasonal and some desired varieties may not be available when you order. This is why it is always best to contact us and to give us as much information as possible. If you have placed an order and the immediate variety of flower is not available, we will make a substitution in its stead of equal or greater value, and every bit as beautiful as your original choice.

Our Free Chocolate Offer

Australia is full of a wild and wonderful assortment of crawly creatures and playful pets, but did you know that some of them actually eat chocolate? It is actually not that rare to have the chocolates we leave at a recipient’s location eaten by pets. They simply cannot resist the flavor, it seems, and despite our best efforts to leave the chocolates out of harm’s way, a hungry animal may find them. If this happens, the recipient is more than welcome to return to the shop to grab another box of chocolates, or we can send another box out. We cannot use our same-day service for this, but we will get them out in a timely fashion. Just make sure Rover isn’t lurking nearby.
